The Pannon Science Day was held for the 19th time by the Regional Committees of Pécs and Veszprém of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. This year the organizer of the conference was the Veszprém Regional Committee. The scientific event gives great opportunity to the researchers from the Transdanubia region to present their latest research results. In every year, the best PhD works from both branch of academic committees' areas was presented and awarded. According to the decision of the Committee, "Development and implementation of original bioinformatic pipelines for NGS data analysis in cancer and assisted reproduction research" entitled thesis of Bence Gálik, PhD (PTE SZKK) was honoured with the award in the field of natural sciences belongs to the Pécs Academic Committe.
