100th sequencing of The Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000
The Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility was established in 2018 within the Szentágothai János Research Centre at the University of Pécs with the aim of making next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology available to Hungarian academic researchers, diagnostic clinical service providers and biotechnology R&D industry partners. In recent years, NGS technology has revolutionised not only life sciences, biotechnology and healthcare, but also agriculture. All of this has led to the launch of the 100th sequencing of the Core Facility on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 as a unique achievement in Hungary.
This represents more than 20 000 sequenced samples across 660 successfully completed projects. This has contributed to the work of nearly 90 partners.
It shows the determination and success of the Core Facility to reach this important milestone. Our work does not end here, we will continue to support the Hungarian scientific community by providing state-of-the-art next generation sequencing technologies and professional support.
